Hagler House Project Update
It’s been a long journey for Shawn and Carla Hagler. Without a house since Katrina, and living in a crammed FEMA trailer in front of Sovereign Grace Fellowship’s main building, the Hagler’s have long awaited the chance to live permanently in a home of their own once again.
Although they bought a plot of land in Lacombe, LA back in 2007, construction did not finally begin on their new home until January, 2009.
Depending on the work of volunteers through NDRI and Homeland Missions, the Haglers watched as their long-dreamed-for home began to rise from the ground.
As of yet, there a few things that need to take place before they can move in including passing a few more inspections, installing a ramp for Carla to access the house, hooking up the well to the house, and installing the much needed air conditioning units.

Volunteers have signed the walls and floors of the Hagler home.
The construction of their home these past few months has been a great encouragement to them, but it is still a challenge to remain patient. The past few weeks have caught a lull in the steady flow of volunteers, and work on the house has stalled. They hope that in the next few months, the rest of the work can be completed.
