Support Relief to Haiti
We would like to invite you to join in the relief effort to Haiti. One of the biggest concerns during these times, especially in a country that is in disarray, is to make sure that whatever resources are sent are used wisely. Thankfully, we are blessed to be in coordination with a few trusted organizations that are currently providing aid to those affected by the earthquakes.
Faith Bible Church: Haiti Relief
A partner church in FIRE (Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals), Faith Bible Church in Sharpsburg, Georgia, has created and organized a blog and donation center for people to give directly to the relief effort. Our mutual friend Pastor Josue Raimundo has an ongoing support work on the ground in the Dominican Republic seeking to minister to and mobilize local Haitian believers for church-centered and Christ-honoring relief ministry.
Please visit their website here and consider donating to those in Port-au-Prince.
Baptist Haiti Mission
The Baptist Haiti Mission, an organization that began over 60 years ago to provide for the spiritual, educational, and medical needs of the people, is now in full earthquake relief mode. Located in Fermathe, Haiti a few miles south of Port-au-Prince, the mission is in the perfect position to take in refugees and provide help at ground zero. All donations made to them go directly into the mission field.
Visit them at their website here for further information, and directions to donate.
Lashbrook Family Ministries
A few weeks ago, our brother in Christ, George Shelby, returned to Haiti for six months of missionary support work with Lashbrook Family Ministries, an orphanage located in Port-de-Paix.
Now that Port-au-Prince has been devastated, Lashbrook Family Ministries is beginning to take in refugees. Keith Lashbrook, the ministry founder and coordinator, was interviewed by FOX 10 News in Mobile AL.:
To learn more information about this organization and how you can donate through them, please visit their website here. Make sure to mention Keith Lashbrook in the designation field, as well as any specific details you want your donation to go to, including construction, crates, earthquake relief, as most needed, etc.
To get an eye-witness account of the devastation and relief work in northern Haiti, check out George Shelby’s blog here.
