Fourth Time’s a Charm

07 June 2010 | Community, Volunteers, Work Crews

blog picToday we said goodbye to our good friend Mark Bolado. This is his fourth trip here in three years and he has mostly come by himself when he visits, proving his servant’s heart and commitment to be used by God in any capacity. It was wonderful to see his warm and jovial personality intertwining once again in our fellowship.

“I really enjoyed seeing old friends again and catching up with Mr. Dave, Ms. Alice and all the people at Sovereign Grace Fellowship, and also to meet new people that have joined the mission.”

Mark’s skills in electronics were once again put to good use as he was able to get an unusable laptop that had been donated to our ministry into good condition for use by our full-time volunteers.  He helped with painting and property maintenance and was a great aid in preparing for the Bethel Reformed Church crew’s arrival.

Beyond the mission work we enjoyed a great time of fellowship and fun. Mark was with us for two Sundays and enjoyed many impromptu conversations that both encouraged and challenged us all.  Not only that, but for the first time in three years, Mark finally got a chance to eat at Deanie’s Seafood restaurant in New Orleans’ historic Bucktown!

Thank you, brother, for your perseverance in your service to us as well as for your prayers.  We look forward to the day when you visit us a fifth time!
