Volunteer Profiles

Our community outreach and benevolence work could never take place without volunteers. Giving their time, energies and expertise, volunteer workers are the critical sinews and ligaments that keep our organization functioning.

Here are a few of them.

steveSteve Kirkpatrick originally served on a church relief crew during the early years of Katrina response. He now calls this home. Steve has been a great asset to our ministry diligently taking care of the physical needs of our community and church. His duties also entail overseeing the maintenance of our tools as well as leading work crew teams throughout the year.

franFran Montes is a gifted server and organizer. When she isn’t on the road with her husband helping to run their construction business she lends a hand wherever she is needed from organizing our storage areas to running errands and bringing food to those in need.

SuzanneSuzanne Mauhur is our first Yearling intern. After coming here initially on a church work crew, she fell in love with the people, service and heartbeat of our mission. A recent graduate in the Arts from NIU, Suzanne assists us as a media coordinator and administrator and helps us in the development of local outreach which includes several special areas such as organic community gardening and aquaponics.
