Serving is giving.

It is a giving of your time, expertise, energy and personal resource.

In order to give well, you must decrease. When the importance of others and not ’self’ becomes your priority you begin to see beyond yourself and genuine outreach is born. True service is selfless ministry in the service to God with no expectations of reward or recognition. Through Homeland Missions, we desire to live out this servant’s heart first through our own lives and then by recruiting others to join us in our work – His work of grace.

For he will deliver the needy when he cries for help, the afflicted also, and him who has no helper. He will have compassion on the poor and needy, and the lives of the needy he will save. – Psalm 72:12-13

Take some time to familiarize yourself with the many volunteer options available in serving under Homeland Missions from planning a Short-Term Missions Trip to working in our Relief Center.  There are also plenty of Neighborhoods that need real hands with compassionate hearts as well.
