Relief Center
Our Relief Center is the hub and core of our Homeland Mission. Inside our modest building is a shower and washer and dryer to handle the needs of those we assist. We maintain a simple food bank and clothing area to meet immediate needs quickly without bureaucratic hassle.
For those families and individuals who require more assistance towards long-term solutions and life changes, we have a counseling room and office where we can assess their situation and help connect them to the proper agencies, ministries and organizational resources. Proper case management is a key step in providing workable and lasting change.
As members of NDRI (Northshore Disaster Relief, Inc.) and GNODRP (Greater New Orleans Disaster Recovery Partnership) our Relief Center is tightly networked with other rebuilding groups to aid the thousands of families still struggling with rebuilding damaged homes. Through our Master’s Workshop internships, dedicated local craftsmen and faithful short-term mission volunteers, we are able to help with minor construction and remodeling needs.
If you have food or clothes or building material donations that you would like to contribute to our effort just give us a call or email us.
We would also love to have you as a volunteer helping maintain our food bank and distribution center.
