Yearling Program
The Yearling program is designed for individuals who want the opportunity to learn important urban ministry skills and strategies that will benefit their hometown’s own community work.
Whether improving an existing ministry or just starting out, Homeland Missions will provide the theological foundation and practical creativity training necessary to effectively build and sustain a mercy ministry presence in your community.
Living on-site at Sovereign Grace Fellowship’s campus allows interns to benefit from the sanctifying challenges of communal life while also providing them with a focused simplicity. Each intern will be assigned their own living space and will assist in our food production through vegetable and herb gardening and other stewardship practices.
Each day is filled with opportunities to serve and learn from the distribution of necessities for the needy to counseling those in despair. Devotional time, prayer, and study along with hands-on involvement are all used together in anchoring and sharpening our intern’s motivation and thinking skills since proper theology in active use creates proper living.
It is our prayer that our students leave here ready and equipped to meet the increasingly difficult cityscape with deep compassion and light-bearing witness.
